“Golf is a compromise between what your ego wants you to do, what experience tells you to do and what your nerves let you do.”
– Bruce Crampton
My goal as a golf professional is to pave the way for you to get the most out of YOUR personal journey in golf. Whether that entails getting the ball in the air for the first time, or being a competitive tournament player, I believe in a holistic approach that incorporates everything this great game has to offer.
I graduated from the Golf Academy of America, Carlsbad (just north of San Diego) in 2012, with an emphasis in teaching. Soon after, I accepted a position as an Assistant Professional at Talega Golf Club in San Clemente, CA. While there, I learned many nuances of instruction, and gained valuable experience in the management of a golf club.
After two years in that capacity, I shifted to the manufacturing side, where I worked at Foresight Sports (a simulator and launch monitor company) in San Diego. As a Technical Service Rep., I had the opportunity to advance my knowledge of ball flight and club design, and further my understanding of why the golf ball reacts the way it does.
While I certainly enjoyed my time in Southern California, in late 2015 I moved back to my hometown of Rapid City. I was fortunate enough to be hired at beautiful Hart Ranch, the course I grew up on and where I took lessons as a junior. I look forward to continuing Hart Ranch’s legacy as the best place to play in the Black Hills, and to helping you achieve your own unique goals in this game.
